Dr. Ann Cherynak is a Board Certified Periodontist
Besides being passionate about providing quality dentistry, Dr. Chernyak has attained extensive training in the dental field. Being a Diplomate means our periodontist has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements. It also means our Langhorne periodontist is certified by the American Board of Periodontology. To be qualified for Board certification one must have certification as a dentist, as a periodontist, pass oral examinations covering periodontal disease and dental implants and must receive recertification every six years.

We’re the Specialist
All periodontists have to train an additional three years beyond the traditional four years of dental school. This means we are familiar with the latest and most advanced techniques to which a regular dentist may not be aware of or equipped to handle such type procedures. If your general dentist finds symptoms of gum disease, it is usually in the best interest of the patient to consult with a periodontist, such as Dr. Chernyak, that will be able to treat such a condition. If periodontal disease has been diagnosed there are a number of surgical and non surgical options that are available to you.
